Borrow books for free with Kindle Owner’s Lending library
Amazon announced the launch of Kindle Owner’s Lending Library on November 02, 2011. This feature let Kindle owners to borrow over 50,000 books including over 100 titles from current and former New York Times Bestsellers. You are allowed to borrow one book a month with no due dates from your kindle devices. You can only borrow books with your kindle E Ink devices and Kindle Tablet.
Whenever you borrow a book, like any other kindle book you can take your notes, highlights and bookmarks which is saved and is available when you buy or re-borrow the book. You can return any borrowed book right from your device.
Kindle Owner’s Lending Library is part of the Amazon Prime membership. To enjoy free kindle book lending you need to be an Amazon Prime member. At present, such feature is exclusive with Amazon eBookstore.
Amazon Prime membership is a special membership where members enjoy some exclusive benefits such as free two-day shipping on millions of items sold on Amazon with no minimum order size, unlimited streaming of over 10,000 movies and TV shows, and now kindle book to borrow for free each month from the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library.
Amazon Prime is a yearly membership plan for $79 a year. You get one month free trail to check out before you buy the membership. If you decided otherwise you can cancel within the free trail without any charges.
